Permanent makeup, micropigmentation, or dermagraphics, is the process of depositing microns of colored pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. Restoration of eyebrows, lips, eyeliner, camouflaging skin imperfections and scars are helping men and women regain self-esteem and confidence after tragedy. .

In many cases multiple surgeries are required to restore facial features. When plastic surgery ends, permanent makeup and scar camouflaging begins, recreating a normal appearance as artistically and scientifically as possible.

Scar/Burn Camouflage

Generally, a year after a scar has healed pigment can be implanted into the skin in a blended effect to match the scar to the surrounding skin colour.

• Vitiligo Camouflage
Vitiligo is a dermatological condition characterized patches of skin discoloration and pigment destruction. This may vary from one or two white spots on the skin to large areas of depigmentation. For some people, although not for everyone, the depigmentation is progressive. Permanent Makeup can help cover up and fill-in these light patches of skin by color-matching your skin tone and evening out the your color.

• Alopecia/Hairline
Alopecia is the state of lacking hair where it usually would grow, especially on the head. Alopecia, which affects 50% of males known as a receding hairline/brow, many times is worsened due to stress and lack of sleep; it is also a common side-effect of face lifts. As far as permanent makeup is concerned with alopecia, we help straighten and fill in thinning hair regions along the hairline, sideburns, eyebrows, in small balding spots, etc.

• Stretchmark & Scar Camouflage
The process of camouflaging stretchmarks and scars is a simple process of blending the discolored scarred/stretched area with your natural pigment colors surrounding the affected area. The final result is beautiful and dramatically reduces the appearance of scars, and in some cases, completely covers them up. This camouflage procedure has been used to permanently conceal face lift scars, stretchmarks, surgical and accidental related scars, and many others, all to help create that natural look.

Cleft Lip Reconstruction
Once all plastic surgery is complete, micropigmentation can be the finishing touch to cleft lip reconstruction.  The lip outline can be created and then colour can be impanted into the lip area to disguise scarring and make the lip appear as natural as possible

 •Freckles
In cases of a client who's natural skin contains freckles micropigmentation can also deposit freckles on to the skin which has been scarred, burnt or loss of pigment due to vitaligo.

Dry Needling/Scar Relaxation/Natural Re-pigmenting
Our scar relaxation/skin needling technique allows us to successfully treat fine wrinkles, burns, skin grafts and scars (i.e. acne scars) with a minimal amount of downtime and less costly than that of laser re-surfacing.

This procedure is less invasive to the skin than laser re-surfacing because lasering destroys the entire top layer of the skin (epidermis), whereas with skin needling, only the wrinkles and scars are treated and the healthy skin around the area is untouched. In addition, the skin does not become de-pigmented and the skin is not sensitive to the sun as often seen as a result of laser re-surfacing. Yet, the body's reaction to skin needling is similar to its reaction to laser re-surfacing treatment.
The treatment breaks up the old collagen in the scar and causes a natural process within the skin to create a build-up of new collagen and elastin in the treated area just below the surface of the skin. This build-up of collagen fills the deeper areas of the wrinkles, and smooths out and tightens the surface of the skin. And because the needle only just penetrates through the epidermis layer and does not remove it, the skin heals quickly. Usually within a week of treatment, the skin will be a slight pinkish tone. The process can be repeated anytime after the healing process has completed. We recommend allowing eight to twelve weeks between sessions to allow for sufficient collagen build-up.

In some client's the action of the skin trauma can stimulate meloncites (melanin) to rush to the area and can re-pigment the skin naturally.  Some exposure to the sun will bring the melanin to the surface of the skin.  Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that this will be the case for everybody so a small test area is advised first.

•Beards/Scalps - Hair Simulation
Scarring through the hairline, in a beard, pubic hair, moustache and scalp can be disguised by micropigmentation. Tiny hairs are tattooed into the scarring, making it less noticable.
